General Assessment Information

What are Assessments for:

Any qualified COSS/IWA/PC/ES/PICOP/SPICOP/Crane/Machine Controller must undergo worksite assessments to retain their competence.

These assessments must be undertaken within certain time constraints, following qualification. The number of assessments is dependant upon qualification status, i.e. newly qualified or experienced (already undertaken a re-certification course).

Any of the above persons who wishes to maintain their certification must successfully complete workplace assessments.

Only persons who have the correct number of log book entries, and if the workplace assessment falls within the correct timescale will be eligible to undergo said assessment. If a person fails to carry out their assessment within the correct timescale, they lose the competency and will have to undergo initial training to regain the lost competency.
